A man in Adelaide paid out $6,000 to what he thought was a genuine Apple sales representative, and ended up with a bag of flour and Chinese newspapers.

A man with an Apple identity card approached the victim at a restaurant, offering him a bulk sale of iPads and iPhones at a discounting price. The salesman then showed him some genuine goods, and a deal of $6,000 for 10 iPhones and 5 iPads was negotiated.

The stock was then packed up again and the scammer took the bag out to his car, saying he was getting a receipt book, and returned handing the victim back what appeared to be the same packages.

However, when the bag was checked later on it was found to contain bags of corn flour and newspapers from China.
